Notes (p.36-41)

Symmetrical Balance:
This image shows an identical mirror image on both sides if folded in half.

Asymmetrical Balance:

In this picture the lamp post is on the right hand side, fllowing the rule of thirds.

Radial Balance:
This onion from Outback demostrated circular composition.

Unity and Variety:

All these little purple flowers are an example of unity because from far away they blend together.

This picture domonstrates a variety of dog toys.

Movement and Rhythm:
This tree shows movement as its branches move with the wind.

Emphasis:
This picture puts all the emphasis on th telephone, making it the most important element of the photo and making it appear larger than life.


Notes (p.27-35)

Composition:

This picture demonstrates the arrangement of my friends towards the middle of the camera's frame taken from the back.

Line:


This tree's branches form parallel, horizontal, straight lines.

Shape and Form:


This house has a real geometric shape. It also has volume and has a three-dimensional feel.

Color:
This flower has a deep, saturated red color and dark value in the center.

Primary and Secondary Colors:

This picture displays the primary color green as well as the secondary color yellow in the little flowers.

Value:
This candle's value uses the light and dark contrast from the flame and surroundings to give dimension to it.

Space:

The space in this photo gives the feeling that the room is a circular dome making it feel 3D.

Texture:

This image shows the crunchy texture of the dry leaves which makes it look 3D.

Pattern:

This picture shows the blue and white pattern of the flags.
